Affandi
received a scholarship in studying an art educational method
from the government of the United States. He lived there for 4
years. |

House Galleries, Press Club, New York. He also held an
exhibition at San Francisco. |

an exhibition in Washington D.C., US. |

1962 |
Become a Visiting Professor in art science of Ohio State
University, Colombus, Ohio. |

He made
a wall painting (Mural) in Jefferson Hall, East West Center
University, Hawaai. |
| 1969 |

He received an Art Gift and Gold Medal from the Ministry of
Education and Culture of Indonesia. He officially became a
Honoris Member for the rest of his life at Academy in Jakarta.

He was choosen as a chairman in International Art Plastic
Association (IAPA) for three years in Indonesia. IAPA is an
international organization beneath the UNESCO.

He pointed by Indonesian
government to represent Indonesia in Biennale Exhibition
in Sydney, Australia. |

He received a Doctor Honoris Causa
from the University of Singapore. |

1977 |
- He received an International
Peace Reward in 1977 from Dag Hammarskjoeld Foundation and
he also received a Grand Master in San Marzano building,
Florence, Itali.
- He became a member of Human
Rights Academy from the Center Committee of Diplomatic
Academy of Peace "Pax Mundi" in Castelo San Marzano,
Florence, Itali.
- He went to Mecca with his
wife to perform a pilgrimage.

In August 1978, he received
"Bintang Jasa Utama" appreciation from the Presiden of
Indonesia for his big contribution to the Indonesian in
several sector. |

1979 |
- He held an exhibition
together with his daughter, Kartika, in Victoria, Australia.
- In 1979 - 1985, he held a
family exhibition in Medan, Surabaya, Jakarta, and Bandung
with P.T. B.A.T as a sponsorship.

He was pointed to represent
Indonesia to held a single exhibition in Houston, Texas in an
art festival and Indonesian creative handmade in Houston,
Texas, US. |

1985 |
For the first time, he held a
joint-exhibition with three famous painters: S. Soedjojono, R.
Basuki Abdullah RA., and himself. This exhibition was held at
Pasar Seni Jaya Ancol Gallery, Jakarta. This exhibition was
named "Pameran Besar Tiga Warna Seni Lukis Indonesia." |

At his 80s anniversary, he held an
Affandi's Painting Restropektif Exhibition at Seni Rupa
Exhibition Building that organized by General Director of
Education and Culture Department. He also held a family
exhibition with Maryati and Kartika at Hotel Panghegar,
Bandung. |

He held a family exhibition in
Surabaya Post, Surabaya. |

1989 |
- A family exhibition at
Museum Denpasar, BaliPameran keluarga di Denpasar Museum, Bali.
- A family exhibition at Taman
Ismail Marzuki Gallery, Jakarta.

In 23 Mei 1990 at 4.30 PM, Affandi
passed away and rest in peace forever in his own house. He also
graved in Affandi Museum Complex at Jl. Solo 167
Yogyakarta. |
